NYC (A Series of Illustrated Observations), 2022 is a collection of ink drawings accompanied by prose documenting my time in New York in the summer of 2022. Spent between Rockaway Beach, a beach suburb south of Manhattan, my apartment near Prospect Park in Brooklyn and Manhattan itself, it acts as a time capsule, capturing my own thoughts and perceptions of the most widely documented city in the world, as well as fleeting glimpses of the city itself, from the ferry to the subway and even to Basquiat’s grave.
